The Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation was founded in 1990 as a 501(c)(3) organization for the purpose of seeking financial support to provide partial scholarship assistance to low-income children in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

In 1999, the Foundation began funding and administering the Elizabeth Lay Midlam/Children’s Scholarship Fund program that promotes school choice, regardless of school affiliation, to financially disadvantaged urban families. The St. Louis School Choice Scholarship Fund, a similar program, was added in 2000.

Since its inception, Today and Tomorrow has raised over $22,000,000 for grants and scholarships.
